Does that mean I can't do multiple test projects as was currently done in home:dimstar:* for multiple purposes?
You'll be able to have as many test orgs as you'll desire :-) We may want to put a limit on this somehow in the future for obvious reasons, but there will not be a 1 org limit.
What problem was supposed this git migration solve? Was solving that problem so important as to mess up with workflows of hundreds of people? Workflows that were working well and people were reasonably productive with them.
This might be so nice on a drawing board or flip-chart. But for the while the whole advantage I get from all this is to have git. For which price?
(I am not involved in the proposed changes.) The price is IMO not so high. Have you actually tried this all yet? With osc, I often hit its limits. For example have you ever tried to find out who and _why_ added/changed/(and the hardest part in osc: removed) a line in a .spec file (i.e. find a .spec revision and also corresponding .changes one)? git blame/show is lovely. osc blame/cat is often hopeless. Not talking about git branch, stash, amend and many other features ;). Well guys, if you propose a change, you ought to start with a _Motivation_! thanks, -- js suse labs
