[opensuse-factory] HPLIP version

Hi, I was wondering if there is any reason why the hplip package in Factory is running that far behind in version ? In Factory we have 2.8.7, while the hp website is already providing version 3.9.2. I will start building the new version in my home repository and if it builds correctly I could perform a submitreq to Factory. Please let me know.
