I created a susestudio image for opensuse 12.2 but each time it boots it spams with several hundreds of messages complaining about unknown key/invalid rule by udevd. It takes about 2-3 minutes each time. I wonder what it could be and how to mitigate this behavior.
Could you possibly share at least one of these messages? Without knowing what it says, a fix is difficult/impossible.

Do any of your rules contain a SYSFS{} call?
Yes!
When I installed hplip, udev started complaining that SYSFS{} was deprecated and should be replaced by ATTR{}. My boot is now clean.
Oh I see, I should just mechanically make sed?
Yes - at least it worked for me. In the intermediate versions of udev, one only got warnings that SYSFS would be removed. Apparently, the latest version has now done the removal.
