Alas, a better and responsive Dolphin is not in the list. Under Leap 15.1 any subdirectory update is visible, under TW only after a long time or restart of Dolphin. Better yet, go back to Konqueror. Konqueror just embeds dolphin for file management though (since 4.0 actually, over a decade ago), so it probably would make no difference in this case...
As for the problem, the description is a bit scarce.
I suppose that means that dolphin doesn't pick up changes to the directory (new files e.g.) automatically? Pressing F5 or choosing "Refresh" from the menu should help then and avoid having to restart it at least.
I did a quick test here now (Leap 15.1 with the latest KDE packages from the devel repos, so slightly newer than current TW, which should get them soon as well though), and it seems to work fine: - opened dolphin - ran "touch test-wolfi" in konsole - the file showed up immediately in dolphin
There may be other factors involved though.
Kind Regards, Wolfgang
Yes, Under Leap 15.1 file changes do show up - I was not clear about that. However, pressing F5 - once or more - under TW does not update the list. So, the problem of not updating present files is limited to TW (current). -- Frans. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
