Right, over the last couple of minutes I have looked into the changes of Group: tags in spec files which I know have been removed at the other major RPM distros. By looking at the MAJOR discussion on the opensuse-factory mailing list about it in Oct 2019. There is a clear division between SUSE and openSUSE. And I get removal of stupid spec file constructs should happen but there needs to be agreement from both sides. (https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2019-10/msg00114.html): The bottom paragraph of this is appalling I must say, we should be a community by which everyone has equal view not by enforcement, and this was repeated to r/openSUSE on Reddit. (https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2019-10/msg00188.html) (https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2019-10/msg00147.html) Still the current position and I bet any attempt to do otherwise will resume that war. I myself will sit on the fence because we need openSUSE + SUSE = great :) otherwise especially now (CTLG) both sides will ground to a halt.
