Yep ... it's reproducible. Press the "Stop" button, choose "Logout" and get a command line login prompt with LXDM. This is a 32-bit VirtualBox guest with the guest additions installed from the ISO image supplied by the host (VBox 4.2 beta). I've attached .xsession-errors if that tells anyone anything.
I did an init 3 and init 5 and got the LXDM entry screen but in my case it let me log back in. But it's definitely broken.
