You do not even need that highly dubious part of the patch anymore, the kernel has been fixed already to allow this driver to compile again.. it is in rc4.

Thanks, Christian. That is great news! It's interesting how a previous patch applied a number of years ago to the kernel broke the newer binary blobs. However, somehow, the full-time engineers at Nvidia missed this change. Usually the newer drivers should be changed. Yes? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Or, am I reading the patch wrong?
