Has anybody figuered out how to let Amarok2 show more engines than only xine?
before i found the packman factory repos, i managed to get gstreamer backend into that dialog. kept installing gstreamer related libs, including fluendo's mp3 thing (http://www.fluendo.com/shop/codecs/), and got gstteamer to play mp3 in amarok 1 & 2. (was using packman 11.1 at that time.)
(which ofcourse does not work for the sh***y reason we all know) an engine would be selectable, if it only would show up in the list below/above xine....
for me xine backend works now. plays mp3 & ogg, haven't tried any other encoding yet. and it works much more stable than gstreamer used to.
vlc plays, but it is much work to build a playlist, or add a song to the list.
yes, that's why i use it only for video formats i can't get to play in kaffeine. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
