I agree completely with everything you said. Especially on socket stuff, weird feature indeed. I don't know who needed/asked for it. I'm hoping all those shortcomings you're pointing out in systemd, which are MAJOR, are going to be fixed (because they can be fixed). Because *then* I'd like to have systemd.
