That's right. And it's the only reason. Just because real says it's free, doesn't mean it has no costs. Just none you pay to real.

Everyone is scared to talk about legal things I guess. But I don't know how to handle such things in the future either. Dropping packages (from distro and from DVD) is our daily business. RealPlayer might be different - but I have no idea in what way.
