Hi Jim, You're basically describing the /etc move to /usr/etc [1], an ongoing effort that needs all the help it can get. A specific bug for SUDO [2] has already been filed. So, if it's feasible, someone will eventually make that move. And anyone can help out with that, folks. Don't be shy!
