Hi all .
I want the "etckeeper" to go into official repository .
The etckeeper is a tool to let /etc be stored in a git .
Official site: http://joeyh.name/code/etckeeper/ Sources: http://git.kitenet.net/?p=etckeeper.git README: https://github.com/joeyh/etckeeper
The etckeeper can pursue change of /etc directory .
Many people use the etckeeper . https://www.google.com/#q=etckeeper
The etckeeper is already packaged in Debian, Ubuntu and Fedora . And their official repository have the etckeeper .
The etckeeper is software which I put in immediately after Linux installation .
The etckeeper is already contained in the utility repository. http://software.opensuse.org/package/etckeeper https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=utilities&package=etckeeper Don't you move it to official repository ?
You email reads like your talking to single organization, not to hundreds of individuals. For opensuse, it is the latter. Any contributor can take up your idea and the responsibility of maintaining etckeeper in the main repo for the support cycle. The most likely person is you. Are you ready to scratch your own itch?
