Carlos, please read my follow-up mail in this thread, which explains what totem (the GNOME Video Player) already does in combination with PackageKit/GNOME-Software. If a codec is missing, PK is instructed to find the feature. If it's available in a repo, it will be proposed for installation... if it's not found, it wouldn't help to show a random package name (which would be a wild guess).
