We've done this for preloaded systems a lot, no reason we can't do it for openSUSE 11.3 as well, right?

I will generate a fix and test against kernel 2.6.34-12.1. Once I have that, will it be OK to contact you again regarding generating a package? This solution will fix upgrades, but will be too late for the GM installation media.
