IIRC, it's even much easier on openSUSE: you install bcm43xx-fwcutter (on 10.3; the package should even be auto-installed by yast on installation, if you have such a card!) and then you simply start /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware I think the issue is that it's not documented to well and people are pointed to use ndiswrapper (which I actually never used on my notebooks!)
