Carlos E. R. Beat up on VMWare if it's nothing that can't be fixed locally, I do that to NVidia and VirtualBox - nicely. It's a nonsense to expect openSUSE to stay wedded to obsolescence because vendors are too lazy or don't care, adding complications when an upstream fix is probably a no-brainer.
