Enable multiversion for kernel in /etc/zypp/zypp.conf and tell it how many or even which exact versions to keep: multiversion = provides:multiversion(kernel) multiversion.kernels = latest,latest-1,latest-2,running You shouldn't even think about runnning Tumbleweed without this except on a throwaway installation.
