OK, ignore all that. Just tried to install beta-1 and got the usual bother with unwanted extra packages being demanded. So either I dreamt it worked last time or it really did work but was one of the random differences one sees in how installations behave.
Next time I went through the network installation, I did nothing apart from press "next" and got through to disk set-up; unfortunately, it couldn't find any partitions so I had to abort again. Tried again and it was OK. See what I mean about randomness in installations?
That sounds interesting[tm] ;-) If you see such a random failure again, please save the YaST logs (save_y2logs should work in the installation system - copy the logs to a safe place (like an USB stick) before aborting the installation). Then open a bugreport and attach the YaST logs. Regards, Christian Boltz --
[feste Stringlängen in C] Dafür gibt's #defines. Und jedesmal ein neuer Build, wenn sich irgendwo eine Länge ändert. Cool! Den Versionszähler kann man sich dann als Ventilator in die Küche hängen ;-) [> Thorsten Haude und Jan Trippler in suse-linux]
