I don't have "fileshare" in 11.2, 12.1, 12.2 -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan
More importantly, if this is some documentation reference, what document and where in the document are you referring to? Throwing out a sentence and not giving proper context doesn't move this question forward.
The context is as follows: an utility "fileshareset" is boundled in openSUSE in the kdebase3 package. It is not a part of KDE3, but an openSUSE-specific addition.
I was trying to determine whether this component is needed and working or should be removed. Calling it from a command line returns:
You are not authorised to use fileshare'ing To grant you the rights: - put "RESTRICT=no" in /etc/security/fileshare.conf - or get membership of group: fileshare
It means become a member of a group called fileshare, and if it does not exist create it and add the appropriate people to the group.
I wonder does it mean the component is useless.
