Dear Tumbleweed users,
I would like to inform you that Snapshot 20201025 will be the last one to be released with a kernel from the 5.8 family (in fact, 5.8.15, which was there since 1020 - no later updates)
Starting with Snapshto 20201026, the kernel will be bumped to Version 5.9.1 (and newer in the future).
Using 5.9.1 here on all kind of machines since more than a week, and it behaves fine so far (with and without the evil bits).
Just updated my Optimus laptop (Dell Precision 5520 with Nvidia/Intel combo running in SUSEPrime's NVIDIA mode) with G05 nvidia packages installed from Snapshot 20201025 (kernel 5.8.15) to Snapshot 20201026 (kernel 5.9.1). Worked like a charm. uvm is no longer built as intented and no longer available, but graphics support still working fine.
