Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers, The openSUSE Conference was certainly a highlight this week. Yet, we managed to give you some snapshots in this time as well. The most notable updates this week were: * Linux kernel 4.0 plus update to 4.0.1 all in one week * GNOME 3.16.1 update * More work done to get AppStream Metadata in a valid shape in ALL repositories; this means GNOME Software (and other Software Centers to come) don't only profit from the metadata of the Tumbleweed main repositories, but actually also load metadata from 3rd party repos. (it seems the infrastructure is now in place - GNOME:Factory for example is publishing valid metadata already) What's coming next? * The current snapshot is being held up by some major changes: Ruby has been updated to version 2.2 (with version 2.1 remaining in the repository for the ones requiring it). There are quite some rebuilds happening and it can well be another day or two until we can release this upon you. Wish you all a good weekend, enjoy the fun and happy hacking -- Dimstar / Dominique Leuenberger <dimstar@opensuse.org>
