[opensuse-factory] Upgrading apt - your input is needed

Hi, I've been asked (by Richard Boes) to update apt to the one he's maintaining in the BS. This is based on a beta version of apt-rpm that supports repomd but does *not* work with synaptic. In deciding whether or not to update and drop synaptic I need your input, as I use neither apt nor synaptic.
