I'm glad to hear this :-)
I hope the search for alternatives will be done in the public - the community has to use it [1], so you should involve us before any decision is taken.

[1] I don't know about the SUSE internals, but I guess you don't need to add a wishlist entry if you want a package or feature ;-)
You have to - we have our own tool for this called FATE: http://programm.froscon.de/attachments/41-SuseFeatureManagement_Froscon.pdf#... And most internal stuff goes through FATE. Sorry, I don't want another tool/method for adding features, instead just use one - and hope this works out for all of us. The question is how to "open" FATE in such a way that all of us can use it, it was not designed for such a large group...
