2009/12/3 Egbert Eich <eich@suse.de>:
- Intel already ships a fully working KMS driver. Future Intel chipsets will be supported by the KMS driver only.
They even dropped UMS support from DDX driver, so 2.10 won't contain it.
- KMS in the Radeon DRM driver is still work in progress but it is already working well on some chipsets.
With .33 it will hopefully leave staging. It already contains more features like OpenGL 1.5 and IRQs when comparing to not-KMS. 33 should bring more feature like HDMI and basic power management. So yes, we definitely should switch to KMS. -- Rafał -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
