This is from HTTP network install begun with yesterday's boot.iso on i440BX PIII system. Error happens shortly after it asks to install USB module. There are two HDs it should find, which the Ubuntu beta installer does find, and Knoppix 4.0.2 finds, and the 10.0 boot.iso network installer finds. Then it proceeds to "creating source", during which the system eventually just ceases to do anything or respond to mouse. This is an improvement over alpha4, which never gets past "searching for info file".
as said already on friday, check the factory tree: ls -l FACTORY/inst-source/boot/i386/ total 127005 [...] -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 86638592 2006-10-04 10:20 root -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 16676902 2006-10-04 10:20 root.fonts the root image from 2006-10-04 is broken, any newer one should be fine. I just don't know when it will be synced out, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
