is this a known Problem ?
on my System the file "lib/udev/vol_id is missing and I have Errors while missing this file?
Are you sure it didn't just move?
I don't think we updated udev to the new version which moves vol_id into udev itself, but note, you really shouldn't be relying on that program to be there at all, it's an internal udev tool only.
OK, but the Error messages are not fine ;)
Error messages from what tool? udev should not be creating them, what is?
this is on boot from udevd /lib/udev/vol_id ............
I found now (google) "vol_id" is dropped and the correct thing is now "blkid" but this is only working with newer initramfs-tools ?
I don't know, again, what tool is depending on vol_id outside of udev?
I found this, but I don't know is this SUSE related? http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=568527 Why is the Kernel Log not longer present ? in this Log I found my boot Problems ? -- mit freundlichen Grüßen / best Regards, Günther J.
