Strange. I am running Firefox 26.0a1 (Nightly) without a single problem. Using it right now in 13.1 M#4 - and posting this message using the Daily of Thunderbird (26.0a1).
Stock, clean, install of 13.1 M#4 without any embellishments.

Sorry about that Felix, but I haven't used the "normal" version of Firefox for so long that I thought that the version(s) you mentioned above were earlier versions of the Nightly :-) . The last "normal" FF I saw was 17.07 (which is also the current "normal" version of Thunderbird - and FF and TB have always had identical numbers in the past).
