Leap was built on top of the newest SLE product family. ALP is quite different from SLE and that's why SUSE advertises it as a new parallel "family of sollution" rather than direct sucessor. I think the name of openSUSE's take on ALP will be in a some way related to SUSE's name whatever it will be.
SUSE plans to investigate hwcaps for v3 and potentially v4 support. Users of v1 can still use our 32 bit Intel images/rpms.
Not an option.
