Nope, that's not the same issue. That's one I see in Beta 1 as well... double application launcher icons for Firefox and Dolphin. You can remove them but they are added back in on restart/login.
These are automatically added for "default applications" which you can set in KDE's systemsettings. However when I removed the task-bar and re-added it they did not appear anymore. Might be a bug though.
The issue with the "ghost" applications basically looks like a running application in the taskbar that remains behind after you exist the application. You cannot interact with this application button since the application it's representing is no longer running.
