I'm running 12.1 milestone 5. If i start emacs (or pidgin) i get the following error: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_datalist_get_data You might not have updated glib2 alongside gtk2. I found the symbol g_datalist_get_data to be in libglib2.0.so.0 (by installing libglib-2_0-0-debuginfo and doing nm).
Since package libglib-2_0-0 was and still is installed on my system I have no clue, why programs which rely on this (emacs, eclipse, thunderbird, firefox, chromium, rekonq, midori, pidgin) report a symbol lookup error on g_datalist_get_data. I have three computers with 12.1-RC1 (2 64 bit, one 32 bit) and this happens only on the latter.
