I don't want to have to skim 5000 lines of a changes file manually to find vdr-${cur_ver}-01..42"vdr-${cur_ver}-01..42" even if yes having 40 patches listed in a changes file doesn't look as "pretty" changes files should be about function over prettyness.
So how is function over form different with fonts for a basic installtion???
Because its apparently not immediately obvious, the installer and package changelogs have two very different roles and thus we expect very different things from them, one is a users first impression of the distro so its very important that it looks good to give first impressions, the other is a tool for developers so it is more important that the required information is presented in an easy format. The installer requiring a font seems perfectly reasonable to me, users can't change it anyway. If you are genuinely interested in a less bloated system probably a much better question to ask is why do you need to have the installer on your system in the first place, once its run it no longer really has a use. So if you want it fixed that is the way i'd do it. And a general reminder if you have a dispute with another contributor and can't resolve it directly, this is not the place to complain, the correct place for that is the board. So if you feel that my decision to mark that bug as won't fix is not right, thats where you should go not here. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
