I have a box with 8 serial ports, still running 3.12.67. In that one:
CONFIG_SERIAL_8250_NR_UARTS=16 CONFIG_SERIAL_8250_RUNTIME_UARTS=8
I get 8 ports at runtime.
Obviously not a TW system with recent kernel-default :D
I know I can override it with 8250.nr_uarts kernel parameter, but it would be more logical that this is used by someone who really has a lot of serial ports.
32 does seem a pretty odd default.
Yep, that's why I'm asking. But it's not really something for a bug report, is it? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
