The system is still responsive to the SYSRQ key and to ctrl alt del. When I boot into runlevel 3, I can switch to runlevel 5 by hand without problems, but booting into runlevel 5 directly hangs the system.

Probably unrelated, but I also noticed that a lot of Plasma widgets in KDE4 have gone dark again, as on some earlier KDE4 versions under 11.1, this problem had been gone however, with the latest 11.1 and KDE4 updates before I updated to 11.2RC2.
