Hi, I'd like to update the kernelshark package to the 2.x version. The current rpm ships the 1.x. The question I have is,the old package is build out of the trace-cmd git tree and uses the same version number as trace-cmd. So the current package ships as # zypper info kernelshark Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Information for package kernelshark: ------------------------------------ Repository : openSUSE-Leap-15.4-1 Name : kernelshark Version : 2.6.1-2.37 Arch : x86_64 Vendor : SUSE LLC <https://www.suse.com/> Installed Size : 2.6 MiB Installed : No Status : not installed Source package : trace-cmd-2.6.1-2.37.src Upstream URL : http://elinux.org/Ftrace Summary : GUI for trace-cmd Description : Graphical front-end for trace-cmd. So what is the recommended way to update to the real kernelshark 2.x? Should I create an new package called kernelshark2? Thanks, Daniel
