Why is it every time I upgrade amarok becomes more of a pain in the tail. This is as root user calling amarok.
WTF would you do something that stupid anyways?
It's not stupid to always want to be lord and master of your universe. I always run as root, have since forever (have paid for that choice too;). If you couldn't possibly care less about security, it's a perfectly reasonable thing to do.

And no one is going to fire you for doing so. There are many guys in positions that would get them fired if found to be doing so and a serious suspicious problem arose that may have nothing at all to do with running as root. Regards
Well sure, there are lots of places where it matters not one whit whether you fire ToyOfChoice up as root or unprivileged too, you are just as fired either way. My only moderate objection was use of the word stupid. You can run things as root without being called stupid. -Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
