It works in a way on my HP 6510b, but it is strange compared to what I am used to on openSUSE10.3.
It's actually just a new and different kde3 applet, with new features and also some weirdness, and seemingly quite a few bugs. The kde4 knetworkmanager plasmoid is still in early development.
