Unfortunately we have to expect the same game for 5.8 because 5.8rc1 introduces some changes in kernel API. Patch already availaible at <https:// gitlab.com/snippets/1986228>
Thanks for the patch! I can work on this once my package test builds are failing.
For sake of clarity: would these test builds fail _before_ the release of a snapshot introducing kernel v5.8?
This depends on how fast our stable kernel gets into Tumbleweed. I'm also test building the kernel module against the former. I'm not asked before a TW snapshot is being released.
Right, so then the builds against Kernel:stable should've started failing sometime soon after Jun 3[1], correct?
If you want to catch build issues earlier, you can test builds against Kernel:HEAD (which follows rc kernels). Michal (fixed top-posting) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
