I like to run additional Tumbleweed instances as KVM guests. Later I also like to try other desktop distributions. Since all my VM guests run under Qemu KVM, I won't switch to Virtualbox or VMware. The host runs under Tumbleweed too. I subscribed the Virtualization repo. So I have Qemu 2.6 and Kernel 2.6. What is the best option for graphics? * VNC is a bit slow and has no OpenGL support * Spice and QXL work, but the accelarated QXL guest driver refuses to work: [drm:qxl_pci_probe [qxl]] *ERROR* qxl too old, doesn't support client_monitors_config, use xf86-video-qxl in user mode xf86-video-qxl is current (xf86-video-qxl-0.1.4-5.1.x86_64) * Qemu 2.6 OpenGL support described here: https://www.kraxel.org/blog/tag/virtio-gpu/ The last options seems ideal for my needs. I already had this running with Qemu 2.5. But the setup is a bit tricky. Besides Kraxel's blog I haven't found good documentation for this.
