To print documents on a remote printer, there is no need to open any port in the firewall on your host.
Just wondering: is this true for smb printers too?
For one-shot browsing and name resolution with smb stuff you need to at least activate the 'samba-client' firewall config which loads an extra conntrack module. I don't know if there's a back channel needed when submitting a print job though. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
