This time I didn't see the checkdisk option that I have seen before that proves that the DVD is not corrupt. Any thoughts?
It's at initial boot now - but see also bug #395157,
Andreas
I am still confused, sorry. I do see the media check from within YaST after the system has been installed. I don't see this option on the screen prior to installing. Perhaps I am misunderstanding what "initial boot" means or am not looking in the right area.
If you put the DVD in and boot, you get a "check medium" entry below "Boot from Hard drive" and "Installation". (the wording might not be 100% correct, it's what I have in memory :)
Greetings, Stephan
Hi Stepan, I have been seeing this choice as you describe above with previous versions of SUSE up until 11.0. The choice is NO LONGER there. However, I do see it after the installation is complete under Software YaST. I never see it on the boot DVD anylonger. From my vantage point we are still communicating the initial point I was trying to make. Please put 11.0 in your machine and boot and look for the "Media Check" entry. For me it is gone.
