[opensuse-factory] latest TW update requires large disk space

trying dup 20180116-0 -> 20180119-0 it is reported it will take an extra 433mb of space. The only time i see any significant disk requirement is for a kernel update (this space of course is subsequently recovered) and this update has no kernel update. Can anyone comment on why this is and if this space requirement can be avoided?
