At least you still have 1.8 9 10 and 11 (so really a big choice of jvm)
The question was whether 11 is a good default.
Looking around the openjdk website, 10 seems to be just 2 weeks old.
Curiously, while those pages offer Java 10: http://openjdk.java.net/ http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html java.com offers version 8 Update 161: https://java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp Java 8 is still maintained (last update was released January 16, 2018). I realized that because until yesterday I was using openSUSE's OpenJDK 10 for everything. But Brazilian's income tax * software did not launch on OpenJDK 10 and forced me installing Oracle's JRE 8u161. * Not sure that is the right translation, but "Imposto de Renda" in Portuguese, according to Wikipedia, would be "income tax" in English Antonio The Linux Kamarada Project http://kamarada.github.io/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
