We're delighted to let you know that the second and final release candidate of the openSUSE 12.1 release, scheduled to become available on November 16 2011, is now ready for testing.
I'm consistently finding md5 sum errors on the NET iso images (both i586 and x86-64):
$ md5sum openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso 0c89c63c7c23cb89005d072cc5ea7942 openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso $ cat openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso.md5 789dc3cf6f240d414371f5f13bf9970f openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso
$ md5sum openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso 9d1067c490a8af5a34b1287e75306949 openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso $ cat openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso.md5 d094d91e24dfdc7c458043725fcb842d openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso
This after 3 attempts each, using aria2c.
Is this just me? If so why - after repeated attempts. DVD images themselves are OK as ids the KDE live (I don't use Gnome so skip that).
I will try anyway to boot the images.

I get the same (wrong) value as you, and I never have any problems with downloading. Both passed the "Check installation media" test. It looks as if the .md5 files are wrong.
Larry
Great - it's not me. It was driving me mad!
Note: We had some problems on Thursday but I thought we fixed them ;-(
FWIW, my download matches the checksum of "eda1422ca20214ef3a6db6373aa30262", as does the DVD I created. It also passed media check when I installed.
BTW, I wonder why they call this build 0025, when RC1 was 0379?
RC1 was done from Factory, RC2 is done from the 12.1 tree - and thus the numbers go reset ;) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
