This also means "zypper up" cannot really be used to install these updates as it won't switch vendor.

Hi Andrei, :) you're about 12 hours too late - I filed a bug about it this morning https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=951736 and it's already fixed, so hopefully the next time we need to use the TW update channel, the packages in there will have the right vendor :) Thanks!
