what about 390.132 for NVIDIA GF106 [GeForce GTS 450]
Needs a backport, of course. Will look into it during the next days.
Was distracted this week, but somebody else stepped up.
tks, will delay booting kernel 5.6.
Stefan applied the necessary fixes yesterday:
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1168817 https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/X11:Drivers:Video/nvidia-gf xG04/ nvidia-gfxG04.changes?expand=1
much thanks, testing.
installed the NVIDIA 390.132 patched for kernel 5.6+ run package successfully and see no display problems.
I have the kernel 5.6 patched run package for your convenience here: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~paka/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-390.132.kernel-5.6.run
For reference and in order to test the package build *and* to keep the nvidia driver under zypper regime, you also might: cd src osc co X11\:Drivers\:Video/nvidia-gfx04 cd X11\:Drivers\:Video/nvidia-gfx04 osc service dr osc build sudo zypper in .../RPMS/x86_64/*.rpm Requires a OBS account, though. Note that, from time to time, the osc service call fails, if Stefan is quicker than NVidia publishing the new release on http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/ but this mainly concerns nvidia-gfx05 builds.
