Are you using pam_u2f or libfprintd for unlocking your screen? The only difference between my laptops/installations (that I can think of now) is that the one that locks the screen has fprintd configured to unlock the screen using fingerprint.
I'm not using fingerprint to unlock, just password.
I know that KeePassXC can additionally use fingerprints on Windows, but why would it lock the screen due to that?
