Hi
Am i correct in thinking that an upgrade for postgresql from 13 to 14 should not override the manual setting in Alternatives? Mine was set to 13 Manual but after the latest upgrade it got set to 14 Auto.
Was it really update? Check order of installation and removal in /var/log/zypp/history.
Thanks for the tip. I've had a look through "/var/log/zypp/history" for occurrences of "alternatives" but didn't find any related to postgresql. The only way i know to update the setting in Alternatives is manually via Yast and i didn't do that (except to set it back to postgresql13 manual). The only thing i can think of is that the setting was Auto and my memory is faulty (i've never had cause to check the setting since I upgraded to 13). I went through this problem where kmail etc doesn't work after an postgresql update when it was still 9.6 and that made me set it to manual until i was ready to do all the database upgrades. -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20211012 Qt: 5.15.2 KDE Frameworks: 5.86.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.22.5 - kwin 5.22.5 kmail2 5.18.1 (21.08.1) - akonadiserver 5.18.1 (21.08.1) - Kernel: 5.14.9-1-default - xf86-video-nouveau: 1.0.17
