Now I  got the workaround to get the VirtualBox started with kernel  5.17: a) Edit the file /etc/zypp/zypp.conf b) Set multiversion = provides:multiversion(kernel) This is the default with TumbleWeed c) Enhance the multiversion.kernels: multiversion.kernels = latest,latest-1,running,5.7.11-1-default Done. Now select 5.7.11-1-default at grub and VirtualBox works again.
