Implying that Greg is not supporting big companies to integrate their drivers into the Linux kernel is clearly ignoring reality. Other comanies have already shown that protecting IP and writing good opensource kernel drivers does not exclude each other, even in the wireless driver area. The issue here is Broadcom's driver and its license, not Greg's or any other kernel developer's position. I am actually mildly surprised to see people value prorietary closed-source drivers for pretty cheap hardware more than the hard work kernel developers have invested into the Linux kernel, most of them in their spare time. It's the company delivering that binary blob that people should pressure, not the Linux kernel developers.
