Christian, you may not be trying to inflict anything. But you RFC if implemented clearly would. The reason this thread got so emotional is your RFC called for updating OBS to force packagers to drop support of sysvinit. So while you personally may have no obligation, I agree that the proponents (as a whole) of the proposal to have OBS force packagers to drop sysvinit support have an obligation to show systemd is fully able to take over the job.
